Installation:

For flush fitting with tiles

  1. DURAGARD profiles appropriate to the height of the tiles should be selected.
  2. DURAGARD profiles should be pushed onto the wall anchorage, which should be secured to the wall with screws.(3 wall anchorages per metre supplied)
  3. Tile adhesive should be applied around the junction using a serrated trowel.
  4. Press the DURATRANS profile into the adhesive bed and align it. Follow any existing joints in the foundations.
  5. Spread mortar over the entire surface of the joint.
  6. Press in tiles firmly and align them so that they are flush with the top edge of the profile. Lay the tiles without leaving any gaps.
  7. Allow a joint of 2-3 mm around the profile itself.
  8. Then fill the space between the tiles and the profile with grout.
  9. Remove protective foil.

Maintenance:

It is recommended that stainless steel profiles be cleaned with chrome polish to give them a gleaming surface. When stainless profiles are subjected to especially fierce chemicals, they should occasionally be cleaned using a mild cleaning agent. Cleaning agents should be free of hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid and should not contain abrasives.
