“Covestar” – Active coving for elegant junctions
Attractively designed and easy to clean junctions between wall and floor
Montabaur. Attractively designed corners can now be achieved in superb fashion using “Covestar” active coving by Dural. Handsome, sloped coving of outstanding versatility, this entirely new profile was developed by the manufacturer for particularly attractive designer concepts. 90° junctions between walls and floor, or if desired between walls alone, can now be enhanced by means of an unusual, elegant and easy-to-clean solution.
It does not matter whether the flooring is formed by tiles, stone, laminate or parquet, the junction profile can be added to surfaces of any material, either to match the floor identically or to create a distinctive mix of colours and materials. When used in conjunction with 2.5 cm “Duralis” metal profiles, the effect is highly modern and a real eye-catcher in the corners.
“Covestar” active coving makes for clean junctions even in places where thorough cleaning has been difficult ni the past. Furthermore, the difficult junction between walls and floor, formerly a troublesome place to keep clean and one that can look very bad after some years of use, can now retain a neat and attractive look for ages.
This junction profile, the latest member of Dural’s extensive product range, is made of PVC and possesses two movement zones formed by elastic polymer rubber. Located between the base skirting element and the two perforated profile bases, it ensures that the coving can adapt to geometry and movement. It reacts to any fluctuations or vibrations at the corners of the floor as well as any deformation of its components. The thickness of the flooring can also vary from anything between 4 and 15 mm.
